Hello, and welcome. My name is Chris Coleman. I am the owner/operator/imagineer of this little company aptly named Synergy Metals. I originally formed Synergy Metals LLC under the name Cutthroat Plasma Company in the winter of 2003. The name change was brought about by my desire to express my love of "working together". There is no better reward than working closely with my clients to create a piece that reflects their vision. As much as I enjoy partnering with my clients I also enjoy collaborating with other artisans to meld media and perspective. Synergy Metals is a celebration of my sentiment towards combining different metals to create visually stunning works.

I have an extensive background in metalwork and equally strong background in design and computer technology. I got my start in metal working at, well... birth I think. My father is a very talented street rod builder and at the age of 13 I followed him into the world of cars. I began with off-road cars and worked my way into highly refined street rods. Paralleling this learning and growing as a car builder I was also learning and growing as an artist. At the age of 17 I went to work for J. Stenson at Cave Creek Welding. J. has a wealth of knowledge in metalwork and I absorbed a considerable amount of that knowledge in the time I worked for him. At the, oh so young, age of 18 (thinking I knew everything there was to know about metalwork) I struck out on my own and founded Cherokee Ironworks. I found some success, but realized I knew little about business, and headed off to college. While in college I became very proficient in programming and graphic design and so I took a ten year detour into the technology sector. As exciting as that was, I found myself yearning to get back to my art full time. So, I journeyed back to my love (metal work), with even stronger inspiration (my wife Zoe and our baby girl, Frances).

So, here I am, doing what I love and looking forward to working with you to create a piece of art in metal that you too can cherish.
